TL;DR

  • Even Realities has opened applications for its Early Developer Program for the Even Hub smart glasses platform.
  • Selected developers can start building apps now, with early access tools and hands-on support from the company’s software team.
  • The focus is on practical, everyday software that makes smart glasses more useful.

Smart glasses tend to succeed or fail based on whether the software proves useful in everyday life. Even Realities is now opening that part up to you, inviting outside developers to start building apps for its smart glasses through a new Even Hub developer program.

The program gives developers early access to Even Hub, the software platform that powers Even Realities’ glasses, along with hands-on support from the company’s own software team. It’s just a small pilot scheme to start out, with a limited number of developers brought in to help shape how the platform evolves.

Even Hub is focused on software that sits subtly in the background, designed for quick, glanceable information on a heads-up display. The tools are meant to handle most of the technical complexity, leaving developers to think about what might actually be helpful when information appears right in front of your eyes.

That fits with how Even Realities positions its glasses overall. They’re not pitched as immersive AR devices, but as something closer to everyday eyewear with subtle digital features layered in, ideally without becoming distracting or overwhelming.

It appears that the program is already open for applications. Interested developers can apply now, with the form asking for background details, project ideas, availability, and portfolio links. The company says selected participants will play a direct role in refining the platform before it’s opened up more widely.
