Customers demand financial compensation
Some customers have demanded to be reimbursed for the lost streaming time while the app is out.
One person said: “I am going to require financial compensation.”
Another one added: “U should give us all Spotify premium for the inconvenience.”
A third user wrote: “Give us spotify Premium for 2 weeks bc of the problem.”
Users threaten to leave the platform
Fuming fans have threatened Spotify to cancel their subscription.
One person said: “Yall got 20 mins until I become an Apple Music user.”
Another one added: “I’m this close to going back to the 90s, installing winamp and torrenting a bunch of mp3s.
“Don’t make me do it. this is your final warning.”
A third person wrote: “So embarrassing should we switch to apple music?”

The streaming platform has issued a response to the worried fans.

Another one added: “Why is my spotify down I cannot function without audio in the background of any activity I do.”



Users cut off from entertainment
Spotify outage comes at the same time as BBC iPlayer viewers reported problems with accessing shows.
Some users have been left without any forms of entertainment as both music streaming and video platforms went down.

Majority of users have had trouble with the App (66%).
However, for some (17%) the website isn’t loading either.
