SHOPPERS will very soon have to put up with no TJ Maxx, Marshall’s or HomeGoods for a full day, giving them few places left to turn.

The major retailers are among a long list all shutting for 24 hours in April, leaving the ones left to scoop up the business.

Easter Sunday is fast approaching, meaning that lots of big name companies will be shutting the doors to celebrate the holiday.

Among this list, TJ Maxx, Marshall’s and HomeGoods will be shutting out customers for a full 24 hours on April 20.

USA Today has confirmed that all three will be closed that day.

Other notable stores that will be closed include Costco, Target, Sam’s Club and Aldi, as reported by The US Sun.

This means that Americans will also have to do without some of the biggest grocery stores in the country for a whole day.

The best way to find out if your local store is closed is to head to the store locator on the website or search for your specific store online.

Costco’s website confirms the move which will see shoppers all over the country shut out for the day.

A spokesperson for Target said of the temporary shutdown: “Guests can expect regular store hours on April 19 and can check Target.com or the Target app for local store information.”

Target stores are generally open on other major holidays such as Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and New Year’s Day.

Other stores that will be closed that day include:

  • Best Buy
  • Dick’s Sporting Goods
  • Hobby Lobby
  • Homesense
  • Kohl’s
  • Lowe’s
  • Macy’s
  • Sierra
Costco confirms it will shut down all 617 locations for 24 hours in weeks and Sam’s Club won’t be any help

This move leaves only a select few major retailers open on Easter Sunday.

Some of these include Walmart, Dollar Tree and Whole Foods, The US Sun recently revealed.

If you’re in need of some clothes, you can visit places like Gap and Old Navy.

Or , if you fancy a bite to eat, don’t worry, because several fast food giants aren’t going anywhere.

McDonald’s, Denny’s and Starbucks will still be open on April 20, to name a few.
