Donald Trump continues with his tariff threats Countries that do something you don’t like. The last one has been thrown To countries who want great American technology to comply with their laws. Thus, the president of the United States has threatened to impose more tariffs on imports from these countries if they dare to take measures against multinationals operating in them and their legislation are jumping.

Clearly, this threat of Trump is directed against the European Union, which has been trying to try that American technology complies with force in the region. And they don’t want to do it. Trump has erected in his defender after the leaders of the most outstanding, such as goal, Google or Amazon publicly supported him even going to his inauguration or contributing strong amounts of money to his campaign.

The president, through his social networks, has made his opinion clear: «Digital taxes, digital services laws and digital market regulations are all designed to damage or discriminate against US technology. Also, scandalically, give a complete pass to the biggest technological ones in China«.

Trump has assured that this has to end, and in addition to threatening with a rise in notable tariffs to those who continue to insist on applying the regulations, he has also done so with applying restrictions on the export of US chips and technology to these countries.

It has not been cut either by ensuring that they are valuing to sanction the officials of the European Union, or any country in the region, according to Reuters, that are responsible for the implementation of the EU Digital Services (DSA) Law, according to several sources. The reason they would have for this is that American technological ones have complained that the law censures Americans and imposes costs to the country’s technological ones.

This step would be an unprecedented measure, which would scale at a completely different level the attack of the Trump administration to what they perceive as Europe’s attempts to suppress conservative voices, in addition to attacking and discriminating against their companies and suppressing freedom of expression.

Suddenly, US authorities have already given Instructions to US diplomats working in Europe so that launch a lobby campaign in opposition to the Digital Services Law to try to modify or repeal completely
