Truth behind Aaron Rodgers’ claims reveal his true feelings over Steelers move

AARON RODGERS’ true feelings over a move to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The NFL legend is a free agent after he was cut by the New York Jets at the end of the 2024 season.

Rodgers, 41, has insisted he will be willing to play for a contract worth just $10million despite the belief it would take $40m to sign him.

The Steelers offered him a contract and are the favourites to land him for the 2025 campaign.

Rodgers gave a glowing review of the Steelers during an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show.

He also admitted that he “snuck” into the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex in Pittsburgh, where the Steelers train.

He also admitted that he is yet to decide on his NFL career.

The veteran, however, shared that he’s dealing with personal issues and is mulling retirement.

This means there is yet to be an answer on the deal from Rodgers.

This is according to Sports Illustrated, which claims that the original offer is still on the table.

The report adds that the Steelers are “optimistic” over a deal but are still waiting.

It was previously reported that Rodgers was seeking a deal similar to that of Sam Darnold’s with the Seattle Seahawks.

Darnold signed a three-year, $100.5 million deal with Seattle, averaging $33.5 million deal.

Rodgers also revealed that the personal issues he is dealing with are taking his attention but he is determined not to let them affect his decision.

He said: “I’m 41 years old and I have some off the field stuff going on that requires my attention.

“I have a couple people in my inner circle who are really battling some difficult stuff.

“To make a commitment to a team is a big thing.”
