Xiaomi Corporation Vice Presidents Ma Ji and Yan Kesheng have officially left the company, according to multiple media reports. Sources revealed that their profiles on the workplace platform Feishu now feature “departed” status. Yan, who is reported to have retired at the age of 53, had been a key figure in Xiaomi’s hardware operations, overseeing product quality—a historically significant expense for the company. After Xiaomi’s IPO in 2018, Yan was among the first of the newly appointed executives at the firm, taking on the role of Chairman of the Quality Committee, reporting directly to CEO Lei Jun. The position had previously been held by Lei himself. Ma, who joined Xiaomi in 2013, was responsible for the company’s internet business before being appointed Vice President in 2022. Most recently, he led the New Retail Division starting in August 2023. This marks Xiaomi’s third major leadership reshuffle in 2024, following executives Lu Weibing and Zeng Xuezhong switching roles and Wang Teng taking over as the new General Manager of the Redmi brand.
