There is no doubt that content creators are a key part of the companies that own social networks. These Internet influencers have the ability to create communities of millions of users and, as a result, boost the advertising business of the platforms on which they publish daily.
So in recent years, we have seen how different social networks have allocated large amounts of money to attract content creators. This old strategy seems to be back on Instagram. The Information points out that the Meta platform has launched a new incentive program.
Between $10,000 and $50,000 to publish Reels
The proposal is quite simple and direct: content creators will be able to receive payments between 10,000 and 50,000 dollars per month for publishing their videos on Instagram Reels before other platforms, such as TikTok. Some details of this movement have not emerged, for example, if it will only reach the United States.
The conditions that creators must meet to access the aforementioned incentives are also unclear. In any case, a select group of popular creators can be expected to qualify for the program and receive income based on the performance of their content and publishing frequency.
What is clear is that Meta has decided not to sit idly by and is taking advantage of the TikTok crisis to get some kind of advantage. Beyond the information shared by The Information we know that Instagram has announced a direct competitor to CapCut called Edits that will arrive in March.
Let us remember that the uncertainty about the future of ByteDance in the United States reaches not only its star social network, but all its other applications in the country, including the famous video editor CapCut. These applications became unavailable for a few hours over the weekend, but their future is not guaranteed.
Trump’s decision to grant an extension to the application of the Foreign Adversaries Controlled Applications Act does not eliminate the specter of the ban. ByteDance shall complete a divestment approved by the United States so that its applications can continue to work in the country in the long term.

Additionally, for some reason, the TikTok applications have not returned to the Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play) application stores. Probably, these giants are trying to act with caution for fear of being fined, a risk that has not disappeared despite the latest moves from the White House.
