Veeam has presented a unified solution to safely detect AI risksprotect systems and correct errors from this technology, focused on agentic AI deployments. Veeam Agent Commander is concerned with proactively addressing the risks posed by agents and Artificial Intelligence.
Agent Commander marks the first integration of Securiti AI technology by Veeam following its purchase of the company, and combines the capabilities of both companies to provide visibility, control and protection over your data and AI assets, with the ability to accurately correct errors. It will be available in a future version of the Securiti Data Command Center, which will concentrate different data security and resiliency capabilities.
Today, the most critical gap in AI infrastructure is trust, with data and AI risk becoming an issue as AI agents scale. An agent is only as reliable as the data it can work with and access. As AI advances, an agent can access and act on sensitive data in seconds, and traditional workflows that take hours to detect and days to remediate are overexposure to that speed.
Closing this gap requires a new layer of AI infrastructure: a unified control plane that delivers contextual visibility, regulatory compliance, and pinpoint recovery, integrating data resilience and security, as well as AI risk management, into a single operating system. Within this framework, Agent Commander integrates Veeam data resilience with Security AI’s Data Command Center.
This unified platform gives organizations full visibility into their AI environment, detects hidden risks and shadow AI, and provides comprehensive controls to protect data as it moves through AI systems. Veeam Agent Commander can instantly fix AI agent errors with precise restores, allowing teams to detect and remediate threats faster and with less effort. Additionally, this tool provides the visibility and control needed to reliably scale AI.
At the core of Veeam Agent Commander is Veeam’s Data Command Graph, a real-time relational intelligence engine that maps connections between data, identities, AI models, and autonomous agents in production and backup environments. Additionally, it detects insecure combinations with intersections of compromised identities, exposed data, and autonomous agents. Also how those risks compound and propagate in real time across the entire data set and AI.
It is also capable of detecting AI risk with context, and identifies shadow AI, sensitive data exposure and risky agent behavior, with full visibility of the impact on systems and environments.
It also protects AI workflows autonomously, applying granular controls in real time on data, identities, and AI agents. This, regardless of model providers, cloud platforms and hybrid needs. On the other hand, it reverses unwanted AI actions through accurate and context-adapted retrieval. This allows reliable data to be restored without having to roll back entire systems.
Anand Eswaran, CEO de Veeampoints out that «the AI develops at machine speed, meaning organizations must understand in real time what data is being used, by what agent, and how. If an error occurs, they not only need to understand what data has been affected, but they must also be able to quickly reverse any damage.. With Agent Commander, organizations know what data is driving AI, enabling them to detect, protect, and, when necessary, undo AI actions quickly and accurately. This represents the future and expectations of data security and resilience, something only possible with Veeam’s unified platform.”.
