Veeam has made a double announcement: on the one hand, it has completed the purchase of Securiti AIand on the other hand it has launched a new integration, with Veeam App for ServiceNow.
To acquire AI data security, privacy, governance and trust management company Securiti AI, Veeam has paid $1.725 billion. The operation will allow the development of a data platform with AI that allows visualizing, securing, governing and recovering information from production, backups, AI pipelines, cloud or on-premises.
As part of the purchase, Securiti AI’s 600 employees will go to work for Veeam, allowing the company to expand its expertise in AI security, DSPM, privacy engineering and regulatory compliance. Rehan Jalil, Founder and CEO of Securiti AI will now be President of Security and AI at Veeam.
Anand Eswaran, CEO de Veeamhas highlighted that “the Investment in AI is growing exponentially, but almost 90% of business initiatives fail because the data that powers AI is unreliable. Secure, large-scale AI requires more than just good models: it requires reliable, controlled, and recoverable data.
Eswaran has also pointed out that the union of Veeam and Securiti AI allows them to offer «“the only platform that unifies data resilience, security, privacy, governance and trust in AI, giving customers complete control over their data and the trust necessary to accelerate entry into the era of intelligent systems.”
The new Veeam integration allows organizations to integrate the management and automation of Data Platform’s data protection capabilities into their ServiceNow workflows.
Veeam App for ServiceNow delivers policy-based, two-way backup and recovery orchestration capabilities natively within the ServiceNow AI platform, delivering full auditability, real-time state synchronization, and compliance reporting.
It enables organizations to decentralize backup management, optimize incident response, and improve visibility while maintaining enterprise-level security and control.
The integration is designed to provide a bridge between organizations’ Veeam infrastructure and their IT service management workflows. This allows ServiceNow users to monitor, coordinate and automate data protection tasks powered by Veeam without leaving the company’s AI platform.
John Jester, Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) de Veeamhas pointed out that «aBy combining Veeam’s secure backup and resiliency capabilities with ServiceNow’s ITSM automation, we enable customers to simplify operations, accelerate recovery, and be audit-ready in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.”
Veeam App for ServiceNow is designed for organizations in highly regulated industries, such as manufacturing, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and finance, as well as for companies that want to offer their teams data protection and self-management automation, optimize business continuity with automated incident creation and intelligence business organization by enriching ServiceNow with Veeam data.
Also to obtain facilities for comprehensive auditing, reporting and compliance through a secure, policy-based platform, as well as to implement role-based and self-service operations for backup management.
