Virgin reveals huge broadband price drop – you can get a free speed upgrade too

VIRGIN Media has dropped the price of its second fastest broadband plan – but some customers can unlock a free upgrade to the biggest speed of the lot.

Savvy shoppers have spotted a huge saving that gets you 516Mbps for only £20.99.

Double up to Gig1 if you have an O2 phone tooCredit: Virgin

As a new customer, this would usually cost you £27.99 a month.

Speeds of 516Mbps are ideal for larger households with six to eight people using multiple devices.

But many forget, if you’re an O2 customers you get a free upgrade if you join your O2 and Virgin accounts.

O2 & Virgin Media vow to pay your bill for a YEAR if you get lucky ‘tap’

This will double your speed to Virgin’s fastest package, Gig1.

Gig1 is aimed at heavy user households with lots of gaming and streaming going on.

As a new customer it usually sets you back £30.99.

But with the M500 deal currently you can get 516Mbps for £20.99.

And if you’re an O2 customer you can use the Volt to upgrade to Gig1 at no extra cost.

You’ll be locked into a 24 month contract.
