WALMART shoppers have been left thrilled after discovering a cheap and tasty dupe of a recently discontinued Girl Scout cookies flavour.
Customers have been rushing to their nearest store to bag up the delicious sweet treats with fans saying they are so good they’re “never without them”.
Walmart’s new Goodie Girl S’Mores Sandwich Cookies are quickly turning into a national treasure for shoppers looking for a quick snack.
They cost just $5.48 for a pack of 24 delectable cookies.
Each treat features chocolate and graham-style cookies with a marshmallow cream flavored filling.
Dozens of happy shoppers praised the cookie online.
One said: “This was so delicious! It was hard to exercise self control.
“It is perfection with the combination of flavors.”
A second commented: “The cookies was fresh and taste really good. I will be buying more.”
A third even noted that the cookies tasted almost identical to S’mores Girl Scout treats.
They wrote alongside a five star review: “Girls Scout cookies look out!
“For gluten free cookies these are as close to the real thing as I can find. They taste great. I am never without them.”
The discovery has left many thrilled after Girl Scouts confirmed the discontinuation of two popular cookie flavors – one of which included S’mores – last week.
The other was Toast-Yay!.
S’mores was first introduced in 2017, and Toast-Yay came out a few years later in 2021, per Today.
It’s also the first time any flavors getting discontinued were announced ahead of time so customers could stock up.
Over the years, fans have developed some serious passion for the two flavors, leading to some hard feelings over the discontinuation announcement.
“Not sure why they would discontinue the S’more’s cookie, it’s a best seller!” someone exclaimed in a Facebook thread.
“Omg those were my favorites,” another added.
Walmart has quickly become known for selling luxury dupes of pricey items from food to clothes and even designer bags.
Walmart went viral last month for its replicas of the iconic Hermes Birkin bags, dubbed the “Wirkin.”
Often priced under $100, the duped purses were praised for being significantly more affordable than original Birkin bags, which start at around $10,000 and can reach upwards of $500,000 for rare models.
They also slashed the price on a “top-rated” vacuum to just $70 leaving fans saying it “works wonderfully” and is easy to maneuver.
The lightweight upright vacuum, which was originally $199, is packed with features to make cleaning a breeze.
