ONLY hours remain for Walmart shoppers to take advantage of a massive discount on a popular service.
It’s arguably the retail giant’s best deal of the holiday season and offers several benefits to those who sign up.

Last month, Walmart confirmed that the price of its subscription service, Walmart+, would be cut by 50% for an entire year.
Walmart+ typically costs $98 annually, meaning the promotion would make it only $49 through a deadline of December 2.
The subscription lets customers have free shipping with no minimum ordering fee, free grocery delivery with a $35 minimum, up to 10 cents off on gas fill-ups, a free Paramount+ subscription, and if they signed up before Thanksgiving, early access to Black Friday sales.
Other perks include 25% off items at Burger King and even free online pet care.
Interested shoppers must act fast, as less than seven hours remain for the half-off deal on Walmart+.
Additionally, it’s only available to select candidates.
In the fine print, the promotion notes that it’s “available only to new, expired, monthly, and current Walmart+ trial members.”
That means current Walmart+ members who already paid their yearly fee of $98 are out of luck.
FEELING LEFT OUT
This aspect of the deal didn’t sit well with some longtime Walmart+ subscribers.
“Pretty awful that you would not offer this to your longtime existing members,” a shopper fumed on X last month.
They argued that the retail giant was “screwing over” members like themselves “by not giving them the same price break.”
“Ridiculous, don’t you get it?” the shopper asked.
Even so, they claimed a Walmart staffer advised them to cancel their membership and re-sign-up as a workaround for the promotion.
While this would seemingly work, the shopper still refused to perform it in protest of not being included in the 50% discount with other longtime members.

BEST BENEFIT
Those who choose to cancel their subscription or don’t act fast enough for the promotion will miss out on one of the biggest Walmart+ benefits — Scan & Go.
Scan & Go is a feature offered through the Walmart mobile app to subscribers, and let’s them use their phone to scan merchandise they want as they shop in-store.
After scanning and placing everything they want in the cart, the app can then generate a single barcode for all of the items.
That barcode is then scanned at checkout and verified by a Walmart employee for an efficient payment and exit process.
Walmart also decided earlier this spring that it would block off certain self-checkout kiosks at select stores for Walmart+ subscribers to use Scan & Go, and for Spark Drivers to move fast and get orders to customers.
The move hasn’t been well-received by some regular customers, who claimed it’s negatively impacted their shopping experience with longer lines and wait times.
Several are still upset with Walmart’s decision to not allow a certain payment method as well.
A customer also recently claimed that “only 6 out of 40 checkouts” were open during holiday shopping at their local Walmart store that caused them to boycott the retailer for good.
