The Unified Security Company WatchGuard Technologies ha lanzado FireCloud Internet Accessa product with which opens a new range of SASE hybrid products (Secure Access Service Edge). Firecloud Internet Access covers the needs of organizations that have a hybrid model, as well as those of the Watchguard partners. All thanks to the fact that it offers a consistent experience between Fireboxes and Firecloud, without learning curve and with practically the same configurations.
Firecloud Internet Access is integrated with Watchguard Cloud, and shares a unified management of policies with Firebox, combining firewall as a service (FWAAAS) and Secure Web Gateway (SWG) to facilitate protection without losing solidity.
Watchguard allows managed service providers (MSP) to offer Firecloud a solution to their clients with a adoption model adapted to their hybrid environments. This solution is also part of the Watchguard Unified Security Platform architecture, which includes identity, network and endpoint safety components, unified management in Watchguard Cloud and a common installation framework for Watchguard endpoints.
In addition to being specifically designed for cloud/local hybrid environments, Firecloud Internet Access has thought so that its deployment does not offer complications. In addition, it offers a license model with flexible and scalable prices and is integrated into the Watchguard threat detection and response platform.
With it, administrators can configure and apply security policies from a single interface. In this way, management is simplified through policy and terminology structures. Security settings are automatically implemented at all Watchguard presence points worldwide. This guarantees the uniform application of policies. Firecloud customers are delivered from Watchguard Cloud, which facilitates its implementation and management.
Over time, the Firecloud Solutions range of Watchguard will be expanded to include private access capabilities, SD-WAN, ZTNA and CASB. In addition, Firecloud customers will soon have new integrations with the collusion SAAS for detection and response to threatsync+threats, as well as with the Watchguard Universal Aentnt device management tool.
Andrew Young, Watchguard product headhe highlighted from Firecloud Internet Access that «It provides real security in the face of real world challenges facing today’s businesses. With the evolution of remote and distributed work, and the migration of companies to the cloud, the attack surface and the location of the endpoints that need protection have been extended. Current solutions do not allow safety equipment to manage network safety in an integrated way with their Sase deployments, which generates safety and complexity gaps in management. To overcome these limitations, we have developed a new Sase hybrid approach that begins with Firecloud Internet Access«.
