Water For Chocolate, Glitterball, Neighbors: What’s New to Watch on HBO Max the Week of February 13, 2026

HBO Max has a constantly expanding selection of shows and movies from its partner networks, including HBO, Discovery, Food Network, and more. New stuff is added all the time, so here are my top choices for this weekend and the week beyond, plus everything new streaming below. As we head towards Valentine’s Day, watch the new season of Like Water for Chocolate to get your romance levels up, along with A24 series Neighbors and more.

This Week on Max: PCMag’s Picks

Neighbors: Season 1 (Jan. 13)

HBO’s partnership with film distributor A24 has been very fruitful, and now they’re teaming up for TV shows as well. Six-episode docuseries Neighbors looks at the way we clash with the people (geographically) closest to us; it visits towns all over the country to spotlight fusses and feuds between the people next door. Directors Dynal Redford and Harrison Fishman spent two years traveling to gather the footage, and the end result looks disturbing and hilarious.

Like Water For Chocolate: Season 2 (Feb. 15)

This Spanish-language adaptation of the hit Laura Esquivel novel (and successful 1992 film) enters its second and final season. When young Tita is charged with taking care of her mother, she learns to funnel her emotions into the food she prepares, with surprising results. But when she meets a young man named Pedro and falls in love, her duty to family and dreams of a bigger life come into an unresolvable conflict. With more time to breathe, the serial version can luxuriate in atmosphere and incredible cinematography.

Murder In Glitterball City (Feb. 19)

HBO has been one of the most consistent funders of documentary films since the cable TV days, and it continues to knock it out of the park. Murder In Glitterball City is a new docuseries about the murder of James Carroll. When a body is found in the the wine cellar of a Victorian mansion in Louisville, Kentucky, the investigation unearths a twisted web of secrets and lies. Both the owner of the home and Carroll’s boyfriend are suspects, and they each blame the other. The truth is, as always, even darker.
