EE has just unveiled a new scheme to offer the latest tech at near unbeatable prices. Here’s all you need to know.

EE is one of the biggest UK networks and while the company isn’t exactly known for offering the cheapest SIM contracts on the market, it does lead the pack where coverage and 5G speeds are concerned. However, with its latest venture, it seems as though the brand is trying to court favour with more budget conscious buyers.

It’s a new venture called EE Tech Drops, which could give the network a huge leg up against its competitors. To know exactly what the concept entails, keep on reading. Similarly, if you’re in the market for more SIM related offers, then you can check out our guide to the best SIM-only deals.

What are EE Tech Drops?

EE Tech Drops are a monthly event that will see the network drop one unbelievable deal at a time on a sought after piece of tech, exclusively via the EE app.

To show off the extent of this proposed value, the first product up for sale will be the Beats Studio Pro. These Apple produced headphones have a retail value of £349.99 but you’ll be able to buy them for just £149 thanks to EE Tech Drops.

As you can imagine, there’s only a limited amount of stock available so it’ll very much be a first come, first served situation.

When do EE Tech Drops happen?

The first EE Tech Drop featuring the Beats Studio Pro is set to debut tomorrow, April 17th. EE hasn’t confirmed that its Tech Drops will take place at the same time each month, but select EE customers will be notified 24-hours in advance to give some folks plenty of notice.

Do you need to be an EE customer to access EE Tech Drops?

One of the most surprising aspects of EE Tech Drops, aside from the value proposition, is that they’re available to both EE and non-EE customers alike. This means that if you’re not an EE customer and you want to make use of the aforementioned Beats Studio Pro deal then you just have to download the EE app and be ready to pounce when the offer goes live.
