Apple has just unveiled a new way to keep all your cherished Apple products safe, coined AppleCare One.

Designed for US-based customers, AppleCare One promises to make it “easier than ever to protect the products you love”.

But what actually is the plan and how does it work? Is it worth investing in the plan or is a third-party insurer better?

We explain everything you need to know about AppleCare One below.

What is AppleCare One?

Launching on July 24th 2025, AppleCare One covers your eligible Apple products in the event of theft, loss and breakages, all under one simple plan.

Apple explains that Care One includes “all of the benefits” found with Apple Care Plus, such as unlimited repairs for accidental damage, 24/7 priority support from Apple experts, Apple-certified service and battery coverage too. AppleCare One also expands to theft and loss protection for eligible iPhones, iPads and Apple Watches.

Service fees will still apply for damage repairs, although the exact cost will depend on the device. For transparency, Apple has listed the US service fees for all its products here.

How many devices does AppleCare One cover?

AppleCare One starts at $19.99 per month, which includes coverage for up to three products. You can add additional Apple devices for an additional $5.99 a month each.

Apple explains that if you own an iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, then an AppleCare One plan works out $11 cheaper a month when compared to enrolling each device into a separate AppleCare Plus plan.

What’s included with AppleCare One?

AppleCare One covers battery replacements if its capacity drops below 80% and extended warranty coverage in the case of any hardware issues. Also included is liquid damage and other accidental damage protection, 24/7 Apple Support as mentioned and free replacement if your iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch is lost or stolen. With the latter, just bear in mind you get three claims per year.

Which devices are covered with AppleCare One?

The following devices are covered with AppleCare One:

  • iPhone
  • Mac (including MacBooks, iMac, Mac Mini and Mac Studio)
  • Studio Display
  • iPad
  • Apple Watch
  • Vision Pro
  • AirPods (including AirPods Max)
  • Apple TV
  • HomePod

There are a few caveats to keep in mind. Firstly, the device must be a maximum of four years old, or just a maximum of one year old if you’re covering AirPods. Plus, any device you wish to cover must be in good condition, with a diagnostic check and/or inspection potentially required.

Can I add my family’s devices to my AppleCare One plan?

Unfortunately, AppleCare One plans can only cover devices that are on the same Apple account as the subscriber. That means that even if you have Family Sharing, those devices will need their own plan.

Is AppleCare One available in the UK?

At the time of writing, AppleCare One is only available in the US.
