Alan Dye, vice -president of Apple of Human Interface Design, called the iOS 26 rollout the “Widest Update of the company ever” the update of the company.
“It combines the optical qualities of glass with a fluidity that only Apple can reach, because it transforms depending on your content or context,” Dye said in a statement.

What is liquid glass?
Liquid Glass is a new software design, or aesthetics, described by Apple CEO Tim Cook as “Expressive. Beautiful. But still immediately known.”
According to Apple, the “Look” Makes apps and system experiences more expressive and delicious while they are immediately known. It is transparent and behaves like glass in the real world and the color is informed by surrounding content and adapts intelligently between light and dark environments.
iOS 26 is an important update that produces a new design and AI experiences with apps.
The new design, in contrast to earlier iterations, will extend over platforms, including iOS 26, iPados 26, Macos Tahoe 26, TVOS 26 and Watchos 26.
Internet responds to Apple’s ‘liquid glass’
Many people love the idea From Apple’s “liquid glass”, but the version, not much. Some of the most prominent worries are the readability of reports and the distortion of the image behind the Squiggly, bubble-shaped app sketch.
“The new liquid glass looks terrible and is a perfect example of focusing on form/beauty/design on functionality/readability/usability such as, what do we do here,” wrote an X user in a message of June 9.
Some have also speculated that the new design would not have passed the sniffing test of the deceased Apple-Mede founder Steve Jobs.
“Steve Jobs had said very famous that a design was what it works, not what it looks like … His thoughts about liquid glass would have been interesting,” wrote a user who refers to a famous quote from the founder.
Others still thought that Apple was completely missing the goal by offering the “liquid glass display” instead of revising the AI -upgrades that was revealed during last year’s WWDC.
