Google is ready to renew its high-end smartphone series by launching one of the most hyped generations of Google Pixel 10 smartphones worldwide on August 20, 2025. The lineup this year is the most ambitious to date, featuring not two, nor even three, but four, powerful versions, including the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the much anticipated Pixel 10 Pro Fold. All the devices have something new to offer in the form of well-engineered designs and next-gen processors to bring meaningful improvements in the camera and battery life.
Let’s take a detailed look at everything we know so far about the upcoming Pixel 10 series.
Pixel 10 Series Design
Google is not looking to drastically change the design this year, but the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro might expect to gain minor enhancements. The classic minimalist design is still there, although you will see that the profile will be a bit thicker and the weight has been slightly increased, which suggests sturdier constructions and, maybe, larger battery sizes.
The same can say about the Pixel 10 Pro XL, which is expected to essentially inherits the design language of its predecessor, though it is somewhat more weighty in the hand as it weighs approximately 232g. What stands out, however, is the upcoming Pixel 10 Pro Fold that ousts the traditional mold. It might folds like a tablet and inside, features a 6.4-inch inner OLED display, and when expanded to use case the size measures 155.2 X 150.4 x 5.2mm, allowing a user to get the best of both worlds; portability and productivity.

Display and Performance
All four phones will supposedly be using OLED panels with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, so everything, including scrolling and gaming, will feel completely fluid. The pixel 10 should have a 6.3-inch FHD+ display, which would perfectly suit individuals consuming content on their phone on the go and do not need a big screen. On the Pro and XL models, it is possible that the panel tech could be more or less similar, and battery and size the key factors.
The entire lineup will be fueled by the Tensor G5 chip that Google is introducing under the hood. With Android 16 pre-installed, these phones are expected to deliver a smoother performance, superior AI, and power efficiency over the earlier models.
Battery
Battery is one area where Google is stepping up its game. The base Pixel 10 is expected to house a 4970mAh battery, while the Pixel 10 Pro could slightly trail with 4870mAh. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold packs a 5015mAh battery, optimized for both folded and unfolded use, and the XL version leads the group with a massive 5200mAh cell. These upgrades suggest a stronger focus on endurance across all usage patterns.

Camera Upgrades
Google has its history of camera greatness, and the Pixel 10 line is no exception. What is special this year, is that the hardware is finally keeping pace with the illusion of software. The regular Pixel 10 may have a 50MP GN8, with an additional 13MP ultra-wide and a 10MP telephoto camera. It could also have 42MP front camera, to make selfie enthusiasts have something to cheer.
The Pro and Pro XL will take it one step further with a triple 50MP + 48MP + 48MP camera arrangement on the back, which will guarantee extremely sharp camera and versatile zoom abilities. Also not quite the same thing is Pixel 10 Pro Fold with its premium results, even though it has a 48MP main shooter, an ultra-wide and telephoto camera with two 10MP selfie cameras, one on each screen opening direction.
