Hacks: Season 4 (April 10)
One of the funniest comedies out there right now returns for a fourth season. If you haven’t watched Hacks, it’s about an aging comedienne played by Jean Smart who hires a young female writer to freshen up her material, only to develop a bizarre and infuriating codependent relationship that spans lawsuits, nighttime talk shows, betrayals, and more. It’s won a ton of awards, so cherish it while you can.
The Last Of Us: Season 2 (April 13)
One of the most eagerly awaited shows on HBO right now returns for a second season. The Last Of Us proved a critical and commercial success when it premiered in 2023, which is good because each episode allegedly cost over $10 million to make. Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey return as Joel and Ellie, who have just escaped the Salt Lake City hospital at the end of the last season and are now going to have to contend with problems from their past.
The Rehearsal: Season 2 (April 20)
The first season of The Rehearsal transformed from what seemed like a prank show, in which Nathan Fielder persuaded normal people to “rehearse” awkward situations so they’d get them right in the future, into a bizarre and psychologically intense meditation on identity as he got too entwined in the lives of his subjects. It was absolutely can’t-miss TV, and the second season promises to go even further.
