Team G1 is no more, here is “La Team“Last December, a page was turned in the world of video game journalism in France with the sudden closure of the Game One channel, ordered by the Paramount Skydance group. Julien Tellouck, emblematic figure of the channel adored by gamers, then hoped for a return as quickly as possible: “We all want to stay together so that the teams (technical, editor’s note) keep their jobs.“This promise was not long in being kept, since the loyal team of columnists (made up of Julien Tellouck, Kayane, Marcus, Anh Phan, Gen1us, Thomas Grellier, NewTiteuf and Shyvahna) finally found where to continue broadcasting their show. The news was shared by Tellouck in person on the set of Tech&Co’s Multijoueurs show.
Without much surprise, the adventure will continue on the Twitch side under a new identity. To turn the page (but also certainly for rights reasons) the happy band abandons the G1 stamp and goes back to basics by simply renaming themselves La Team. A new Twitch channel entitled LaTeamLeRespawn was created on this occasion, but the broadcast will take place on as many channels and platforms as possible in order to ensure the sustainability of the show.
A return next month on your favorite platforms
Good habits will not change with La Team. The meeting will once again be fixed every Wednesday, with a big premiere which will take place on March 11. The concept will also remain the same: the members of the team and their guests will dissect and analyze current video games and pop culture during a live broadcast of around two hours. But this time, the emphasis will be on the accessibility of the show. The main broadcast will take place directly from the new Twitch channel, but the platform’s co-streaming functionality will allow each member to offer the broadcast on their personal channel.
For those who are not used to using Twitch, Julien Tellouck will take care of hosting the live as well as the replay of the show directly from his own YouTube channel. “We will multibroadcast on all possible platforms, even on TikTok and Instagram vertically in parallel“ he explained to BFMTV. The columnists from La Team invite you to join us on March 11 on your favorite application to discover this new version of the cult show.
