The work management platform Workday incorporated Artificial Intelligence into some of its functions some time ago to support workers in certain operational tasks. These include hiring staff and payrolls or supervising finances. Now has decided to expand them with a new AI technology, which it has called Illuminatewhich works across the entire platform, providing information to facilitate decision-making and streamline certain actions.
Workday Illuminate uses AI models based on the financial and HR data of the companies that use it. These models are able to understand the context of this data, and are integrated into the platform to help employees save time by simplifying various daily tasks and streamlining workflows. Among other things, they enable the use of generative AI to support tasks such as creating and summarizing job descriptions or writing messages and contracts.
This new AI technology from Workday also offers insights into different areas of work, such as anomaly detection. It also has tools designed to allow the automation of routine tasks, such as filling out forms.
It also includes the Workday Assistant, which helps users navigate complex finance and HR processes by providing guidance on how to do their jobs. Illuminate also includes other AI assistants and agents that employees can use to perform certain tasks.
These agents include a recruiting agent (Recruiter Agent), an expense management agent (Expenses Agent) and a task optimizer (Workday Optimize). Recruiter Agent helps automate recruiting tasks, such as locating candidates, contacting them and recommending candidates with the best skills for specific positions. It also supports administrative tasks related to recruiting, such as scheduling interviews.
Expenses Agent automatically creates and submits expense reports, and facilitates the process by presenting a request to the employees who manage it to submit a transaction or automatically create expense lines. In addition to these agents, there is a Succession Agent, in charge of helping managers identify future managers in the company, also helping to design customized plans for the most outstanding talent.
Workday Optimize, on the other hand, identifies bottlenecks in business processes and solves them where possible to streamline workflow. In addition, Workday enables its customers to use AI innovations from its partners, or developed through Workday AI Gateway, and is responsible for orchestrating processes across all of them on the same platform.
Workday Illuminate is now availablealthough it is not yet fully developed. In fact, the company has confirmed that it will continue to develop this technology as part of its AI roadmap, planned over three years.
