The world’s first Humanoid Robot Games opened on Thursday in Beijing. During the three-day event, more than 500 robots from 16 countries and regions will compete in over 400 events across four categories: competition, performance, scenario-simulation, and side events. At the opening ceremony, robots danced with humans, and some robots even performed traditional Chinese opera on stage. The competition features athletic events such as 100 meter sprints and 5v5 soccer matches, while scenario-simulation tasks include factory material handling and hospital medication sorting.
