XBOX Game Pass offerings became a lot more difficult to decipher last year when the subscription service was restructured.
There was a price increase at every tier and Console was replaced by Standard, which doesn’t include recent releases.
This meant that almost 40 games were removed from Game Pass’ middle tier, but Xbox adds a few games back to Standard every month.
This month three new games are coming to Game Pass Ultimate, and four games are returning to Game Pass Standard.
There are two older games added to the service, though Diablo is Ultimate and PC only as a PC game.
UFC 5 is also only playable on console, and as part of EA Play, it is only available via Game Pass Ultimate.
Road 96 is the last game that is coming to Game Pass and is available on every tier of the service.
Here are the three games coming to Xbox Game Pass in January 2025:
- January 7
- Road 96 – Cloud, Console & PC
- January 14
- EA Sports UFC 5 – Cloud & Xbox Series X|S * Ultimate only
- Diablo – PC *Ultimate & PC Game Pass
Four games that are already available on the Ultimate and/or PC tiers are also coming or returning to Standard this month.
Lightyear Frontier is currently in early access, but you can still play the game so far via Standard.
My Time at Sandrock, Robin Hood: Sherwood Builders and Rolling Hills were all available at the Console tier previously.
They were moved up to the Ultimate tier when Standard was introduced, but have now returned to the middle subscription tier.
Here are the four games coming or returning to Xbox Game Pass Standard:
- January 8
- Lightyear Frontier early access – Xbox Series X|S
- My Time at Sandrock – Console
- Robin Hood: Sherwood Builders – Xbox Series X|S
- Rolling Hills – Console
