In what’s turning into a bad week for gamers, the Xbox Live network is down – just a day after the PlayStation network suffered a prolonged outage.
Update at 13:30 BST: The problems with the Xbox Live network now appear to have been resolved.
Xbox users are widely reporting problems accessing the Live service, preventing them from playing certain games and accessing online matchmaking.
The DownDetector website has shown a spike in Xbox Live outages this morning.
Microsoft has yet to officially confirm a problem at the time of writing, with the Xbox Status page only reporting one problem with the Elder Scrolls Online game.
The Xbox outage comes only a day after rival Sony suffered an eight-hour outage with its PlayStation network, which also prevented PlayStation 4 and 5 owners from playing games.
Sony didn’t disclose the reason for the outage, which was resolved early Tuesday morning.
