Chinese lifestyle platform Xiaohongshu, also known as Rednote, is testing a new “Quick Sell” feature that lets users list secondhand items directly under posts or share product cards in private chats, according to Tech Planet. Users can set item names, prices (up to RMB 10,000 / $1,380), quantities, delivery methods, and shipping fees, with a 0.6% transaction fee similar to that of Xianyu, a used goods e-commerce platform operated by Alibaba.

The feature expands Rednote’s push into e-commerce. The company merged its e-commerce and livestreaming units in 2023 to form a standalone commerce division and added a “Marketplace” tab to its app this year to promote shopping and live-selling content. [Tech Planet, in Chinese]
