Xiaomi electric vehicle owners will soon gain access to the vast EV charging networks established by NIO, Xpeng Motors, and Li Auto, chief executive Lei Jun announced Wednesday on Chinese microblogging platform Weibo. The partnerships is likely to let Xiaomi customers use nearly 30,000 fast chargers owned by the US-listed Chinese EV trio via their Xiaomi app, according to Lei. NIO, planning to share 14,000 of its chargers with Xiaomi, has built up 21,646 public chargers as of November, according to figures from China Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance, making it the largest EV-charging provider among automakers. Xiaomi owners may also use more than 9,000 and 6,000 chargers from Xpeng and Li Auto, respectively, according to Lei. [TechNode reporting, Lei Jun, in Chinese]
