You’re Not A Good American If You’re Against DOGE, Says Grant Cardone, Slamming Critics Of Musk And His Agency

In a recent post on X, entrepreneur and real estate investor Grant Cardone fired off a direct message to critics of Elon Musk and his government agency, DOGE: “You guys opposing DOGE actually ARE NOT GOOD Americans.”

Cardone backed up his statement with a quote from Musk: “The sheer amount of waste and fraud in the government, it is astonishing — it’s mind-blowing. We routinely encounter wastes of $1 billion or more — casually.”

Don’t Miss:

The comment comes on the heels of a wide-ranging Fox News interview with Musk and his DOGE team, where they laid out the scope of government waste and what they’re doing to stop it.

DOGE’s goal is apparently to cut the federal deficit by $1 trillion. Musk said that means dropping the annual deficit from $2 trillion to $1 trillion and cutting federal spending from $7 trillion to $6 trillion by rooting out fraud and waste.

“We feel confident that a 15% reduction can be done without affecting any of the critical government services,” Musk said.

He shared a stunning example: a simple 10-question online survey about national parks, which could have been done with SurveyMonkey for $10,000. “The government was being charged almost a billion dollars for that,” he claimed. “A billion dollars for a simple online survey—Do you like the national park?”

Musk and the DOGE team pushed back hard against allegations that they’re trying to cut Social Security or Medicare.

“Legitimate recipients of Social Security will receive more money, not less money,” Musk said. “Let the record show that I said this.”

The team said they are protecting benefits by cutting off fraud and fixing broken systems. They cited phone scams where 40% of Social Security calls are from fraud centers trying to reroute benefits.

Not everyone is applauding DOGE’s aggressive cuts. Billionaire investor Mark Cuban recently warned that rushing to slash government programs could cause more harm than good.

“I am all for cutting gov costs, then and now. I’m even more for efficiency,” Cuban wrote on X. “I would have a plan. Ready Fire Aim is not a plan.”

He stressed that many cities rely heavily on federal jobs, and sudden mass layoffs could damage local economies, housing markets and essential services. “How many people will lose their jobs and homes because this was done ALL AT ONCE?” Cuban asked.
