YouTube Adds Another Year-End Recap. Here’s How to Find Your Viewing History

The year-end recap frenzy continues. After rolling out music recaps last week, YouTube just introduced its first-ever video recap program today.

YouTube Recap will summarize your top interests and channels, as well as the evolution of the content you watched in 2025 and details about your music-listening habits.

Personality cards, meanwhile, will be assigned based on your preferences. For instance, if you’ve been watching skill-development videos, you’re likely to receive “The Skill Builder” card. If you watch content that spreads positivity, you could get “The Sunshiner” card. The Wonder Seeker, the Connector, the Philosopher, and the Dreamer are some other card possibilities.

You’ll also receive a fun award for your watch history, says YouTube’s chief product officer, Johanna Voolich. Unlike the usual short award titles, this one is meant to feel more playful. “I am the most likely to find the perfect workout and hilarious video to share with friends,” read Voolich’s award. As always, you can share the graphics on your social media accounts.

To check out your Recap, head to the You tab from the bottom of the mobile app and tap the new Recap banner. On the web, you can head to YouTube.com/recap. In both cases, you need to make sure you are logged in to your YouTube account.

YouTube Recap will see a staggered rollout, starting in North America today and expanding to the rest of the world later this week. If you’d like to revisit your Recap, though, you’ll have to be quick. They are only available till the end of the year, YouTube says.
