YouTube TV Launches a Raft of New Streaming Packages From a Month

YouTube TV is launching lower-priced streaming subscription plans this week, the company announced on Monday. This past December, the live TV streaming service announced plans to roll out more than 10 genre-based TV packages in 2026, featuring slimmed-down channel lineups and lower prices than its base plan. Customers will be able to choose from sports, news, entertainment and other packages.

Rollout begins this week, and all YouTube TV subscribers will have access over the coming weeks. Among the plans available will be a $65-per-month sports package (discounted to $55 for newcomers) that includes every ESPN network, FS1, NBC Sports Network, and, later this year, ESPN Unlimited. A sports and news bundle will provide all the channels in the sports package plus news networks such as CNN, CNBC, Fox News, C-SPAN and Bloomberg for $72 a month.

There’s an entertainment package for $55 a month that comes with content from Hallmark, Bravo, Food Network, FX and more. For customers who want a little more than entertainment, the $70-a-month news, entertainment and family bundle will include kid-friendly channels like Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Disney Channel.

Each package will cost less than YouTube TV’s $83 basic plan, and all will be equipped with unlimited DVR, multiview, its key plays feature and the option to add up to six people on one account. New customers may be eligible for discounts.

Skinny streaming packages are becoming more common, with DirecTV getting in the game last year with its Genre Packs and Sling TV adding passes for one day, a weekend or a week.
