The ZLUDA open-source project that has been through several incarnations but ultimately about getting CUDA software up and running on non-NVIDIA GPUs now supports the AMD ROCm 7 series.
ZLUDA is working on bringing CUDA to non-NVIDIA GPUs. While there were prior versions focused originally on Intel GPUs and then for a while AMD-financed work on Radeon/ROCm support, the current take is on being a multi-vendor CUDA implementation and with a special focus on getting CUDA AI workloads up and running.
The latest achievement to talk about for the ZLUDA effort is they are now supporting the ROCm 7 series on Windows and Linux. Previously the ZLUDA code was limited to working with the ROCm 6.x releases while now the current ROCm 7.x series is supported for use with AMD graphics processors on both Microsoft Windows and Linux platforms.
The ROCm 7 support was merged yesterday via this pull by lead developer Andrzej Janik. Subsequently ZLUDA 6-preview.34 was released with Windows and Linux builds to incorporate that ROCm 7 support.
