Reason 2: Free up memory

The second reason should be obvious: the fewer apps you have installed on the device, the more free memory you have for other things. For example, for pictures or videos that you want to keep on your smartphone instead of saving them in the cloud.

But more free memory also means that your smartphone will be more powerful overall. You especially notice this when the memory is already running low and everything suddenly feels slower and sluggish. If you then clear it out, you will quickly notice what a difference it can make.

Reason 3: Reduce battery consumption

Uninstalling apps can not only improve your device’s performance but also make it use less battery. This is mainly due to the fact that more and more apps find it necessary to put a strain on the battery in the background even when it is not being used actively.

The usual suspects for this are messengers and social media apps, but also route planners or applications that frequently send notifications. For example, mobile games that constantly annoy you so that you have to log in again and collect your daily rewards.

If you install apps that you no longer want to use, battery consumption is often reduced and the smartphone lasts longer.

Reason 4: Less clutter, more focus

If you look at your smartphone and are immediately stressed by the multitude of apps, notifications and visual stimuli, you should perhaps think about cleaning up your home screen thoroughly. Often there are a lot of apps vying for our attention, and at some point we just scroll through them to find something to do.
