Apple Vision Pro is officially being upgraded from the M2 to the new M5, but existing customers don’t need an all-new Vision Pro to enhance the experience. Apple has shared release details for two previously announced accessories. Apple’s new Dual Knit Band that comes with the M5 Apple Vision Pro is also available to purchase separately.

Apple first announced support for Sony’s PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers in June at WWDC. visionOS 26 will support these third-party virtual reality game controllers, but the feature hasn’t been enabled yet.

As part of today’s M5 Apple Vision Pro announcement, Apple says it will begin selling PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers next month:

PlayStation VR2 Sense controller and Controller Charging Station will be available for $249.95 (U.S.) from the Apple Store online in the U.S. beginning Tuesday, November 11.

This suggests we’ll see support officially added prior to release next month in an update to visionOS 26. Sony currently includes the controllers with the PlayStation VR2, and the Controller Charging Station is sold separately.

Meanwhile, Apple says the Logitech Muse digital pen that lets you illustrate digitally in visionOS will arrive next week alongside the M5 Apple Vision Pro:

Logitech Muse is now available to pre-order for $129.95 (U.S.) from logitech.com and the Apple Store online in countries and regions where Apple Vision Pro is available. It will be available alongside Apple Vision Pro with M5 and the Dual Knit Band on Wednesday, October 22.

Here’s the product overview:

Logitech Muse is a spatial accessory designed to enhance the way you work, create, and collaborate with Apple Vision Pro. Muse combines a familiar form factor with advanced technology, offering a precise, immersive workflow in both productivity and creativity apps.

Seamless motion tracking in six degrees of freedom with intuitive controls allows you to draw, annotate, and interact naturally in space. Real-time haptic responses add textural realism to create a truly engaging experience. A pressure-sensitive tip and force-sensing button allow you to vary line thickness whether drawing on a surface or in the air.

Lastly, if M2 Apple Vision Pro customers want to upgrade to the new strap, Apple is selling the Dual Knit Band separately starting today for $99. Here’s Apple’s description of the new strap:

Designed for Apple Vision Pro, the Dual Knit Band provides lasting comfort and stability — with soft, breathable upper and lower straps and a counterbalanced design. Its dual-function Fit Dial makes it easy to adjust each strap independently for a personalized fit. The Dual Knit Band attaches to the Audio Straps with a simple and secure mechanism, and release tabs allow you to quickly detach it when needed.

Apple also announced new MacBook Pro and iPad Pro hardware today, both equipped with the new M5 chip.
