Disney+ and Hulu now have a combined login, so you can access Hulu either in its own app or as a Disney+ channel. The Hulu app will get shut down sometime next year. Until then, Disney brings you the ultra-popular Marvel and Star Wars franchises, while Hulu covers a more adult-oriented niche with loads of movies and shows from network partners.
The two services release a ton of content every week, so I’ll make it easy for you by picking three worthwhile new entries. This week’s offerings are varied, with some all-ages Marvel fun, a sci-fi action flick that flew under the radar, and the full series of ultra-influential (and fun!) anime classic Dragon Ball. The full list of TV shows and movies coming to the streaming services is below.
This Week on Hulu and Disney+: PCMag’s Picks
LEGO Marvel Avengers: Strange Tails (Nov. 14, Disney+)
The kid-targeted LEGO Marvel Avengers projects are fun for adult Marvel zombies as well, because they play fast and loose with the universe in a charming and fun way. In the two-part Strange Tails, an influencer gets tons of views for filming a battle between the Avengers and Magneto, so to keep her channel growing, she sets up a showdown between the heroes and… a gang of cats?
Osiris (Nov 15, Hulu)
It’s no masterpiece, but Osiris is a fun enough piece of sci-fi cheese that it’s worth watching while you fold laundry, and it’s always great to see Linda Hamilton in action. When a group of Special Forces commandos disappear mid-mission and awaken within an alien spacecraft, they discover that their captors don’t want anything more complicated than to process them into food. Teaming with an elderly Russian woman, they have to fight back and escape.

Dragon Ball: Episodes 1-153 (Nov. 18, Hulu)
Oh, it’s just the most important action anime series of all time on Hulu, that’s all. Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball laid the groundwork for hundreds of series with its epic martial arts battles, escalating power levels, ludicrous side characters, and more. Watch all 153 episodes of the original series, following Goku as a young boy through his battles with the Red Ribbon Army and King Piccolo.
