NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang will hold a media briefing in Beijing on July 16 and attend the opening of the third China International Supply Chain Expo, according to Reuters and the Financial Times. The trip will mark his third visit to China this year, as the company seeks to promote new products and reaffirm its long-term commitment to the Chinese market amid ongoing trade tensions between China and the US. Notably, US senators have previously urged Huang to avoid engagements with entities subject to export restrictions. In response to new export rules implemented in April, NVIDIA also plans to launch a new AI chip tailored for the Chinese market in September. NVIDIA’s financial report shows that China contributed $17 billion to the company’s revenue in 2024, making up 13% of its total sales. [Reuters, Financial Times]
