While most buyers wait for the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra to make its official debut later this week, a Dubai-based YouTuber has reportedly purchased the device ahead of its public unveiling.

Samsung is widely expected to introduce the Galaxy S26 Ultra during its upcoming Unpacked event, yet at least one retail unit appears to have changed hands before the formal announcement.

An Instagram reel posted by tech creator Sahil Karoul shows the Galaxy S26 Ultra already in his possession, with the device reportedly purchased directly from a retail shop in Dubai’s primary electronics market rather than supplied through an official review programme.

Retail stores commonly receive inventory in advance of launch to prepare shelving, coordinate pre-orders and stage promotional displays, though those units are typically restricted by strict street-date agreements.

The reported sale stands out because devices under embargo are rarely sold to customers before the manufacturer lifts restrictions tied to the official reveal timeline.

It remains unclear whether the retailer made a one-off exception or whether additional Galaxy S26 Ultra units are already circulating through informal early sales channels.

Karoul has begun posting images and short clips of the phone online, prompting questions about hardware refinements, camera changes and software features expected to headline the upcoming launch.

The early sighting also reignites discussion around which headline features the Galaxy S26 Ultra will include at launch, particularly amid recent debate over whether Samsung will finally adopt magnetic Qi2 wireless charging across the range.

Early retail units sometimes operate on pre-release firmware, meaning the experience shared in advance of launch may not fully reflect the final software Samsung distributes globally.

Instances of early sales occasionally surface in major electronics hubs where supply chains move quickly and enforcement of embargo rules can vary between regions.

Samsung has not issued a public statement regarding the reported early purchase, and the company continues to promote its upcoming Unpacked event as the formal introduction point.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to be detailed in full on February 25, 2026, when Samsung should confirm specifications, pricing tiers and regional availability for its next flagship device.
