Frank Castle is everywhere! Seven years after the cancellation of his series on Netflix, The Punisher gains importance within a rapidly changing MCU. Jon Bernthal is offered several opportunities to deepen the journey of the character he has played since Daredevil in 2015. From July, he will appear for the first time on the big screen in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. He will face a more mature and dark Peter Parker, far from his first adventures under the aegis of Jon Watts. But first, it returns to Disney+. Not to face Matt Murdock in season 2 of Born Again but for his first solo project with Mickey.

Disney+ has been promising a TV movie for a while The Punisher. The platform has so far been content to mention the year 2026, suggesting that Brand New Day would only be an introduction. Finally, the appointment is made for the May 12 with One Last Kill. If the plot remains mysterious, we can expect the first images to be shared as soon as possible. The poster as well as the title already allow us to imagine the singularity of the project within an MCU often confined to PG-13.
Like the adventures of Matt Murdock, and presumably the next installment of the adventures of Peter Parker, The Punisher wants to be more mature and violent. It must be said that Netflix had established a style radically different from what Marvel was doing in cinema at the time. So as not to offend the many fans, the Maison des Idées is now trying to reproduce this recipe.
