It’s official, pragmatic is GOLD! This means that development of the game is complete, therefore, that it will no longer be postponed and that it will indeed arrive on time, on April 17 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2! It was through Capcom’s social networks that this news was confirmed.

Announced during the PS5 conference in June 2020, pragmatic has known quite a few worries in its development, which was postponed several times. Expected for 2022, then 2023, pragmatic is finally postponed to an indefinite date. Capcom confirms its release for 2026 during Summer Game Fest 2025 in Los Angeles. During the Game Awards 2025, during the pre-show, Capcom revealed a new trailer allowing us to reveal the official release date of the game: April 26, 2026.
On what media is Pragmata expected?
pragmatic will be a game only for current consoles on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. A Nintendo Switch 2 version will also be on the program.
What is the Price of the different editions of Pragmata?
As of today (December 29, 2025), pragmatic is only announced in simple/standard edition at the price of 59.99 euros on all media. We do not yet know if the game will be entitled to a special and/or collector’s edition.
How long has the game been in the works?
Announced in June 2020, pragmatic has been in development since at least 2017/2018 or even 2019. The game will therefore have undergone a long production period of several years.
Pragmata is being developed by a completely new team at Capcom, which will, according to a company report in 2021, allow for a game « different from other Capcom titles, since it is the fruit of the imagination of a new development team ».
Will the game offer a VF?
Yes, the game will be fully subtitled in French and will also offer a full version dubbed in French.

During the Nintendo Direct, the week of February 4, we were treated to a new, somewhat disappointing preview of pragmaticwith a trailer that looked far too similar to all the other videos of the game since its announcement in 2020. This week, during the State Of Play on February 12, Capcom gave us a very different first trailerwith new environments and new gameplay sequences, confirming the release of the game for the 24 avril 2026 and the availability of a free demo on all media.
Capcom should present a new showcase in 2026. There is a good chance that pragmatic be entitled to a new big airtime before its release in April 2026.
What will Pragmata talk about?
pragmatic East a new license from Capcom. The title will immerse us in the skin of Hugh and Diana. The player will therefore control two characters at the same time. This is also one of the particularities of pragmatic. The two protagonists seek to escape from a lunar research station infested with hostile AI robots.
It will therefore be possible to control both characters, simultaneously, with Hugh who has a jetpack to move around, dodge enemy attacks and reach distant areas. Hugh is equipped with different weapons to attack the robots. However, the latter are protected by shielding. This is where Diana comes into play.
The latter can remotely hack robots, to blow up their armor, allowing Hugh to destroy them. The player must therefore control Diana, hack the robots and kill them with Hugh, at the same time. If, on paper, it seems complicated, in reality the system is very original and instinctive. During our first test during Gamescom 2025, we were convinced by this gameplay.
Will the game be in first or third person?
pragmatic is a TPS, therefore a third person game.
Pragmata sera-t-il an open-world ?
No, the game will offer large areas to discover, but overall, pragmatic will be a corridor game where you have to go from point A to point B.
Will the game have an online mode?
No, normally it should be only a single player game.
Any DLC planned?
As of today (December 29, 2025), Capcom has yet to make no announcement about this.
