Ahead of tomorrow’s Linux 7.0-rc7 kernel release, this week’s batch of input fixes were sent in and merged. Besides a few small input fixes are also some new device IDs and quirks for hardware now to be handled by Linux 7.0.

The Razer Wolverine V3 Pro is one of the newly-supported devices added to the upstream XPad controller driver. The Razer Wolverine V3 Pro is supported in both its wired and 2.4GHz wireless dongle modes. This Razer gaming controller uses the Xbox 360 protocol and thus a straight-forward addition of the necessary IDs for the XPad driver. This high-end gaming controller retails for around $199 USD from the likes of Amazon (affiliate link).

Also new is supporting the BETOP BTP-KP50B and BETOP BTP-KP50C controllers in the XPad driver with just needing new IDs as well. The Betop Kunpeng 50 gaming controllers in turn will be working fine with Linux 7.0.’

Meanwhile the i8042 input driver has added a quirk for the new TUXEDO InfinityBook Max 16 Gen10 AMD laptop. This AMD Ryzen laptop from TUXEDO Computers occasionally will wake up from suspend with missing input on the internal keyboard and the following suspend attempts will result in an instant wake-up. This i8042 input driver quirk works around that problem. TUXEDO InfinityBook Max 16 Gen10 AMD is the Bavarian company’s newest model featuring the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 SoC.

The full list of input changes for tomorrow’s Linux 7.0-rc7 kernel can be found via this merge.
