I like to end my Friday by reflecting on the best deals we uncovered at PCMag over the work week. No matter what the season, we’re endlessly scrolling through all the major manufacturers and retailers to pull out offers on products that are actually worth your time. How do we know? Across the hall, the experts at PCLabs are painstakingly testing them, using clear and transparent rubrics to rate them on a five-point scale.

What’s on the card for this weekend? How about an absolutely massive deal on a stylish Motorola flip phone, or a security camera discount so deep you can stock up on multiples? We’ve got a ton of options for savings waiting for you.

Motorola Razr+ Deal

Need a stylish new mobile? Are iPhones too mainstream? You will absolutely not find a better deal than this massive 62% Woot offer on the capable and cool-looking Motorola Razr+ flip phone. We have a positive review of this Android, with PCMag expert Sarah Lord noting that she liked the phone’s “design, build quality, connectivity, and clean user interface.” It fits snugly in your hand when closed, with a vegan leather back panel and a a 4-inch pOLED outer display so you can handle many tasks without flipping it open. It benchmarked solidly in our tests, and battery life of over 12 hours on a single charge is acceptable, although we did wish it was a bit longer. For a sub-$400 phone, though, this is a winner.

Although there’s an updated version of these high-tech eyewear on the market, we’re still firm believers in the value proposition here, a 25% price drop on the first real viable proof that smart glasses could be a valuable part of your digital life. In our 2021 review, we praised the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses for their enjoyable audio playback, intuitive controls, and classic Wayfarer frame style. While their onboard camera won’t replace your smartphone, it works well for quick snapshots. The glasses hold six hours of charge, with the carrying case holding three full charges.

Beats Studio Pro Headphones Deal

The Apple-owned Beats audio line is known for tuned sound that’s designed for pop music, with deep bass and crisp highs. In our review of the over-ear Beats Studio Pro headphones, writer Tim Gideon noted that they offered numerous high points, including “hands-free Siri access, one-touch pairing on iOS and Android devices, and a new-to-the-Studio-lineup transparency mode.” The biggest criticism was towards the price, so a 49% discount is welcome to see. These fit comfortably, are great to wear for long periods, and have battery life testing at 40 hours with Active Noise Cancellation off, or 24 with it on. The onboard mic works great for phone calls and Siri commands.

Ring Outdoor Cam Deal

Bothered by pests or prowlers on your property? Smart security cameras are a great way to keep tabs on deliveries, visitors, and other events, and this 40% discount on Amazon’s compact Ring outdoor model is the best surveillance deal of the week. With crisp, clear 2K video and a wide 160-degree field of view, it’ll capture everything you need it to. The included hardware lets you mount it to most ceilings, walls, beams, or soffits, and it can also stand independently on a flat surface. The hinged base lets you tilt and swivel 360 degrees. Microsoft Surface Pro Deal

If you’ve grown attached to your AI assistants, it might be time to pick up a PC designed around them. The Qualcomm CPU in this lightweight and cool-looking laptop was designed from the ground up to make Copilot faster and more efficient, and in our review we noted that the machine met our expectations in both performance and battery life, with writer Matthew Buzzi calling the processor “easily the best Arm chip we’ve tested yet in a PC.” The OLED display is also very nice, with deep blacks and vibrant, accurate colors. The all-metal build, responsive keyboard and haptic touchpad are all luxurious, and a 50% discount makes this very attainable.
