The Japanese technology group SoftBank has announced that it will invest 45 billion euros in the expansion of AI infrastructure in France over the next five years.
As part of this investment, a new data center with a capacity of 3.1 gigawatts is to be built in the Hauts-de-France region of northern France.
The project is being implemented in collaboration with Schneider Electric and will be built on a site that previously housed a nuclear power plant, Reuters reports.
