After testing in a handful of countries, Meta launches globally Meta Business Agent. This AI tool is designed to equip businesses of all sizes with instant, personalized response capability across WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram.
The possibilities with this AI agent
Meta’s agent is intended to be a Swiss army knife for customer relationship management. He is able to answer specific customer questions 24/7, make product recommendations from a catalog, make appointments and qualify prospects.
According to Mark Zuckerberg’s group, more than a million companies already use a version of this agent on WhatsApp and Messenger, while the arrival on Instagram is new.
The promise is to increase productivity by 10 or 100, while allowing entrepreneurs to decide when a human collaborator should intervene for more in-depth support. The tool can even go as far as close sales autonomously.
Meta plans to monetize this new service
While starting is free to encourage adoption, Meta has clearly defined its monetization strategy.
In the coming months, Meta Business Agent will be integrated into Meta’s paid subscription offers, notably via its new offer Meta One. Once again, it is a question of diversifying the sources of income, while advertising represents 98% of the group’s turnover.
The economic model will adapt to the size of the company. Small and medium businesses will get it with subscriptions like WhatsApp Business Premium. Large businesses will be charged for useon a model based on the number of tokens consumed.

Meta’s long-term vision for its agents
For Meta, it is a question of going beyond automated customer service and moving towards real operational partners.
Meta is working on advanced agentic capabilities that will enable market research, competitive intelligence and calendar management. Ultimately, Mark Zuckerberg’s ambition is that the agent can help manage an entire business.
For larger structures, Meta is also launching the Meta Business Agent Platform, an infrastructure for creating custom agents and connecting them to external systems like Shopify and Zendesk.
