HCI infrastructure: way out of the license trap

Those who relied on hyperconverged infrastructure a few years ago benefited from easier management and faster deployment. But the model is now coming under pressure: providers are revising their license structures, costs are rising noticeably – and at the same time, AI applications are placing new demands on computing power and data throughput that classic HCI architectures can hardly meet. For IT managers, the question is becoming more pressing as to whether the existing setup is still viable.

Decouple compute and storage – solve dependencies

The crucial approach: Structurally separate computing and storage resources and thus create the basis for a flexible, demand-scalable infrastructure – without foregoing the integration and management advantages of modern HCI platforms. By combining powerful all-flash storage architectures with proven hypervisor concepts, performance and efficiency can be significantly increased. A Computerwoche webcast in collaboration with SVA, Everpure and Nutanix shows how companies can specifically take this path.

From theory to smooth migration

In the COMPUTERWOCHE webcast, Daniel Baby (Nutanix), Christian Kulins (Everpure) and Markus Wendler (SVA) explain how to build an AI-capable platform that keeps license costs under control over the long term. It’s not just about architectural principles: the experts also show how migration can be implemented safely and without interruption. The moderation is carried out by Dr. Oliver Janzen.
