Ticketmaster becomes the first ticket sales platform to offer customizable and interactive maps on Google Wallet.
Gone are the days of a simple QR code to scan at the entrance to a concert or football match. Ticketmaster introduces a new kind of tickets that allow event organizers to transform an entry ticket into an interactive card on Google Wallet.
Personalized cards for Google Wallet
Behind this integration lies the possibility for artists, sports clubs and other festivals to design personalized cards, in the colors of their brand. This includes a personalized cover image at the top of the card. A music group will be able to display the official visual of its tour or the cover of its latest album. A sports club will be able to integrate the official colors of its club or the poster of the day’s match, a festival will highlight its programming or the logos of its partners, etc.
The ticket will therefore present itself as a true extension of the experience desired by the brand and more simply a practical means of accessing an event. For Ticketmasterthis interface on Android is also a way to convince brands and artists to use its platform to sell access to their events.
Practical features and interactive links on tickets
Beyond the purely visual aspect, the posts can also be interactive by integrating up to 12 configurable links. These clickable shortcuts are there to guide the spectator to the important information they will need on the big day. Organizers can, for example, insert maps to know where the parking lots are, details of access to the different gates of a stadium, or even options to order food and drinks in advance directly from the application. It is even possible to change the order of these links at any time to push the most urgent information based on the time of the event.

For organizers, these cards can become strategic to encourage users to download or open their own mobile application. The link being natively integrated into the post Google Walletit is displayed at the precise moment when the fan is preparing his arrival and therefore is most receptive. The deployment of these features will obviously depend on the goodwill of each organizer.
