AerynOS 2025.12 is available today as the latest installment of this from-scratch Linux distribution originally known as Serpent OS.

AerynOS 2025.12 incorporates many software updates, including notable version bumps for the KDE Plasma desktop as well as the COSMIC desktop. Plus updates to the likes of Bash, Docker, Buildah, Mesa 25.3.1 graphics drivers, Wine 10.19, XWayland-Satellite 0.8, and is all powered by the Linux 6.17.10 kernel at present.

AerynOS has also been working on an auto-pruning feature for its Vessel repository manager service, documentation site updates, and other improvements.
