Artificial intelligence is no longer confined to research labs — it’s now being reshaped by AI agents designed to tackle everyday business tasks with speed and precision.
Building on customer-driven demand, Workato Inc. has introduced a new fleet of agents that extend its low-code, no-code orchestration platform Agentic, aiming to automate work across functions and deliver tangible outcomes, according to Gaby Moran (pictured), vice president of global customer success and experience at Workato.
Workato’s Gaby Moran talks with theCUBE about AI agents.
“Our first inspiration for getting started with Agentic came from our customers,” Moran said. “Our customers had the most advanced agentic deployments a year ago. We were busy building the product in partnership with them. We kind of said, ‘Okay, now we’ve got to really walk the walk.’ We’ve learned a ton from them.”
Moran spoke with theCUBE’s Rob Strechay and Savannah Peterson at the WOW: World of Workato event, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, News Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed key learnings for Workato in the design of its AI platform and newly released tools for developers. (* Disclosure below.)
AI agents don’t need perfect data
Workato’s journey to agentic AI offerings in partnership with its customers came with some surprising revelations along the way, according to Moran. One of these involved the assumption that it takes pristine data for AI to be successful.
“The most surprising thing is your data does not have to be as perfect as you think it does,” she explained. “Everyone’s eyes were like, ‘Oh my God, impossible, no way are we going to have perfect data before we start.’ They’re really smart and they can fill in a lot of those gaps.”
Workato has also focused on ensuring that the developer community has the right tools for agentic AI success. On Tuesday, the company announced the launch of the Workato Developer Sandbox, an offering that gives developers free access to the Workato One platform.
“Some of these developer tools have been really exciting because a lot of the customers that we work with are working with the CIO organization and they have developers all over the business that are really creative when it comes to agentic and AI,” Moran added. “With Workato, they’re able to bring in all of those constituents in a safe, secure, governable way.”
