Need For Call for Cyber Education in Schools?

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of Cyber Awareness Month 2025 at the Maharashtra Police headquarters, the actor stressed the need for cyber education in schools. He requested that a dedicated subject on cybercrime awareness be introduced for students from classes 7 to 10, so children learn how to identify online dangers early. “This crime is becoming bigger than street crime. It is very important to stop it,” Akshay Kumar added.

Kumar also appealed to parents to stay alert about their children’s digital behaviour. He highlighted the importance of creating a safe space where kids can openly share unpleasant online experiences without fear. “Parents must monitor but also build trust,” he said.

How To Stay Safe During Online Gaming

Online games are a favourite among children and teenagers, but they also come with risks. Here are some simple steps to stay safe:

  • Always avoid sharing personal details such as name, school, or location with strangers in chats.
  • Do not respond to requests for photos, videos, or private information.
  • Use parental controls and privacy settings to limit interactions with unknown players.
  • Report and block suspicious accounts immediately.
  • Talk openly at home so children feel comfortable sharing if something feels wrong.
