Alibaba’s mapping and mobility unit Amap has formed a global ecosystem partnership with Chinese EV maker XPeng to integrate XPeng’s L4-level Robotaxi fleet into its platform.

The partnership marks the industry’s first model combining a mobility platform with factory-built Robotaxis and demonstrates Amap’s effort to apply its “spatial intelligence” — an AI framework for real-world spatial perception and reasoning — across new mobility scenarios.

Amap said it aims to build the world’s largest Robotaxi aggregation platform by integrating fleets from leading autonomous driving companies such as XPeng, WeRide, and http://Pony.aiPony.ai>, leveraging its 800 million monthly users. The company’s ride-hailing platform currently spans more than 200 countries and regions. [TechNode reporting]
