AMAZON is giving customers a free voucher at the moment in the company’s latest big giveaway.

And you might want to save it for this weekend for a little stay-in treat before payday.

The online retail giant regularly dishes out freebies to customers.

For example, every month Prime subscribers can get hold of free video game downloads worth more than £100.

And there’s also another Prime perk in the form of free takeaway deliveries from Deliveroo.

But I’ve just stumped across another really tempting freebie – and you don’t even need to be a Prime member to redeem it.

It’s not clear if the bonus is being widely offered to everyone or limited to selected accounts.

But it’s worth checking all the same.

On opening Prime Video the other day a popup appeared offering a free voucher.

The voucher is for a free £5 credit for a digital movie purchase or rental from Prime Video.

For some older titles or ones on offer this will get you access completely free.

For new movies it’ll come up as a handy £5 discount.

All you need to do is open the Prime Video app on your TV and scan the QR code.

Once logged in it’ll activate – and you can use it to watch what you like.

The credit will only be there for 30 days so don’t wait too long to use it up.

If you don’t see the popup on your Amazon Prime Video app, try this page to find out if you’re eligible.

HOW MUCH DOES AMAZON PRIME COST?

Here’s what you need to know about Amazon Prime pricing in the UK…

A standard Amazon Prime membership costs £8.99 a month – that’s £107.88 over the course of a year.

If you pay annually, you’ll be billed £95 instead.

For TV fans who just want Amazon Prime Video without a full Prime membership, it’ll cost you £5.99 a month, working out at £71.88 for the year.

Students can get discounted Amazon Prime, with the monthly cost reduced to £4.49 (or £53.88 over the course of a year).

And for students who pay annually, the one-off yearly fee is £47.49.
