The Radeon Pro W7400 is a new graphics card with which AMD is expanding its offer for the professional segment and specifically that of the workstations of entrance range.
The idea is that not all creatives or developers need so much graphic power to work and therefore the new card is designed for those who bet on Low cost and low consumption work stations. It is also indicated for the OEM market, installed by its partners on PCs or mini-workstations.
Radion PRO W7400, Characteristics
AMD has a wide catalog of graphics cards and the last one presented, the Radeon Ai Pro r9700, is a high -end model focused on professional visualization, acceleration of AI in the EDGE, local inference of AI, the fine adjustment of complex creative models and workloads.
With the launch of the RADEON PRO W7400 the company focuses on a totally contrary segment, the most basic. Is based on the graphic nucleus ‘Navi 33’ y RDNA 3a platform surpassed in performance by the new architectures, but that can still give a lot of play, especially for its low cost.
It is manufactured by TSMC in 6 Nm processes and has 28 computer units (CU), equivalent to 1792 Flow processors (SP). It also has 56 flow accelerators, 28 for ray layout, 64 rendering units and 112 texture mapping units.
Includes 8 Gbytes of dedicated GDDR6 type vram and working on a 128 -bit bus. The speed of the memory is 10.8 Gbps for a bandwidth of 288 GB/s. The speed of the GPU is limited to 1.1 GHz and its TPB consumption is only 55 watts and feeds from the same PCIE port without additional connectors from the power supply.
Reduced in benefits, the Radeon Pro W7400 will have its advantages in low consumption and in another important issue: it will be AMD’s most economical professional graphics cardintended for professional entry -end work stations.
