AMD’s GPUOpen team just released the FidelityFX SDK 2.0 development kit and with it is now the inclusion of the FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 (FSR 4) upscaling tech to complement the existing FSR 2 / FSR 3 support.
The AMD FidelityFX SDK 2.0 release just occurred to begin rolling out new machine learning based neural rendering technologies. The first major addition with the FidelityFX SDK 2.0 series is including FidelityFX Super Resolution 4.
The announcement for FidelityFX SDK 2.0 explains:
“The AMD FidelityFX SDK 2.0.0 is a major revision to the SDK and serves as a launching pad for all of our new ML-based neural rendering technologies, including our upcoming AMD FSR Redstone features. We are pleased to present the first of these ML technologies with the public release for developers of AMD FidelityFX™ Super Resolution 4 (FSR 4.0.2).”
The FidelityFX SDK 2.0 release also brings fixes for AMD FSR 2/3 and Frameinterpolation Swapchain.
The SDK continues catering to Windows but those interested can grab it from GitHub. There is also more information on the FSR4 GPUOpen release along with an Unreal Engine 5 plug-in via GPUOpen.com.
